New to area to meet people (friends) in Baton Rouge?
I'm new to Baton rouge and the only person I know is my boyfriend and I want to meet some new people around 20's or 30's. I'm not looking to meet guys or get a date, just friends mainly girls to hang out with. Anyone know of any good places to meet people? Everyone I've worked with so far are a lot older or a lot younger and I don't go to school.
How to meet people when you have been single for 2 years, have no friends and broke?
I go to community college, and although I have met people, its the same people that hang out in the Rec. Room all the time. While I do have friends, I am a broke college student that doesn't have enough gas money to chill with them on a regular. All my friends live at least a 20 minute drive away. Since I am broke, I don't have money to go out a lot. And everything costs money. I don't even have enough money to buy a gym membership so I always use the school gym, and no one really talks to me there. Everyone just works out. At this point I feel dating online is the only option but i'm 21 and feel that is a low blow for someone as young as I am. The last person I liked friendzoned me as well and I'm a girl . I'm not ugly either, nor am I the most beautiful woman to walk this earth. I'm not fat, but not fit either. Guys usually think I'm " cute" but that's about it. Not necessarily someone they would pursue

My boyfriend of 2mths told me upfront that he games & talks to girls on Xbox live and that they don't mean anything to him.
