How does a matchmaker work and how would i find one?
I am a 33 year old male and i am interested in getting married. I am not really into the club scene and I want to find a spouse in the most efficient manner. I have heard that Arranged marriages and marriages through matchmakers are less likely to end in divorce. I have heard from a friend from Saudi Arabia that when a man wants a wife he talks to his mother about what his ideal mate would be like and she starts searching for her for him. If this is what matchmakers do than i would be game. I do not want to waste time and money on someone who just wants a goodtime.

I will be meeting with a professional matchmaker tomorrow and a little scared about how to present myself. I am female, 30s, and have a very limited dating experience. I have never had a long term relationship and am not sure how to explain that. I also don't know how to answer the question " what are you looking for?" Any suggestions? I am also worried that she will want to discuss my dating failures and I am afraid to to feel humiliated. Any tips would be amazing. Thanks.
How to play matchmaker for two friends, both girls?
Two of my friends are practically PERFECT for each other. Friend A has emotions that change like fireworks, and Friend B is like the matches. They're competitive with each other, and sometimes get into little disagreements that make the rest of us think " there they go again" . The problem is they're BOTH GIRLS. I'm not even sure if they bisexual or not. It's a bit frustrating and I'm really not sure how to go about doing this. I'll answer any questions you have, but please don't be rude or insult me about this. I'm really sure about this. PeachieUgh, why do I always do something wrong when writing these damn things? " Matchmaker" is not exactly the right word for this. It's not like saying, " Hey you two should go out," or doing anything directly, more like nudging them towards it, without being too obvious about it. Being " indirect" , you know? God, I should really make this things more clear.

I hate when people try and hook me up with someone. Most of the times they don't even know me well enough to try and hook me up with anyone. I feel like they think I'm lonely or desperate. I'm fine, love will come when it's ready. How do I avoid people like this?
